From my AP Art Project, a series of abstract, mixed-media scenes that explore the experience of being thrown into a completely unfamiliar environment. While my move from New York to Chicago inspired the series, I used abstraction to broaden the meaning and make it applicable to any individual or environment. The work represents this journey and the corresponding challenges through the use of geometric shapes, symbolism, color, line, repetition, and a variety of mediums.
